HydroBID Water Simulation Tool
This integrated system simulates water flow in basins using a hydrographic database for Latin America and the Caribbean.
It consists of an integrated system for simulating water flow in basins with a hydrographic database for the Latin American and Caribbean region. Part of the benefits of using this tool is its applicability in areas where there is a shortage of data, the possibility of accessing a technical support center and the constant updating of the system, which is expanded with modules that allow its integration with other systems in order to evaluate more scenarios in the study basins, and it is also an open source in order to promote development in the region. In the agricultural sector, the tool is useful because it manages to optimize the planning, management and use of water and land to meet the growing demand for food production.
