Rope bomb

This system uses a rope with polyethylene pistons attached at intervals, a semi-submerged PVC pipe and a pulley with a crank.

This system consists of a rope or string joined at both ends to which several polyethylene pistons are attached, distributed approximately one meter apart; a semi-submerged PVC tube through which the pistons rise; and a large pulley with a crank that propels it in a continuous movement toward the water well. When the crank is turned, the rope is pulled so that the pistons rise through the tube and thus drag or suck the water to the surface. Of course, the water will not come out under pressure, but a continuous flow of water is obtained with minimal effort. This type of manual pump is an appropriate technology that is easy to operate and maintain, highly efficient in shallow wells, and also low cost.
