First Water Conference of Moquegua 2026
Within the framework of the First Water Conference, “Where Moquegua connects, innovates, and acts for water,” held on March 26, 2026, the valuable participation of Hombray Taylor, IICA specialist and coordinator in water and agriculture, was highlighted. His contribution significantly strengthened technical dialogue and promoted coordinated efforts aimed at water security in the region.
His experience and commitment helped consolidate this event as a constructive space to advance comprehensive, innovative, and sustainable Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in water management in Moquegua. It also reaffirmed the commitment to promote concrete water actions—both those prioritized during the event and those emerging from coordination with participating institutions and communities—with the goal of translating proposals into real interventions in the territory.
SbN session at ECLAC Regional Water Week 2025

On Friday, October 10, Session 3 of Regional Water Week was held at ECLAC, entitled Water and Agriculture, Solutions for Agricultural Water Availability. The second panel in this session was Nature-Based Solutions and Innovation for Agricultural Water Availability. The initiative played a leading role in this panel, where a general overview of NBS and IICA's experiences in this area were presented.
