Food security and the fight against rural poverty
The main challenge of the project is to expand the contribution of the National Secretariat for Food and Nutritional Security of the Ministry of Social Development in the area of Food and Nutritional Security, through the improvement of its processes and systems, and the strengthening of its public policies and government programs, from the perspective of building a country without hunger, with food and nutritional sovereignty, and with a strong and socially just family agriculture.
Objective:
To contribute to promoting the supply and access of the Brazilian population to adequate and healthy food, rural productive inclusion, expanding access to water for the poor population in rural areas and ensuring food and nutritional security for the entire society, including individuals and traditional communities.
