Direct technical cooperation of IICA in Brazil

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture (IICA) in Brazil positioned 1,015 technical products and mobilized more than USD 19 million in external resources to support family farming, food security, nutrition, including production and water access. Promote renewable energy sources (water, solar and wind), drive adaptation to climate changes through the INNOVA-AF project and participate in the Oitavo World Water Forum. In addition, the Irrigation Agricultural Directorate Plan and the National Bacias Revitalization Program were implemented, and 1,400 traditional farmers were trained in gender equality.

The purpose of IICA in Brazil is to develop personal and institutional capacities to contribute to the construction of a dynamic, competitive, modern, inclusive, sustainable and innovative agriculture.
