Direct technical cooperation from IICA in Brazil

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in Brazil positioned 1,015 technical products and mobilized more than $19 million in external resources to support family farming, food security, nutrition, productive inclusion, and access to water. It promoted renewable energy sources (hydro, solar, and wind), fostered climate change adaptation through the INNOVA-AF project, and participated in the Eighth World Water Forum. It also implemented the Master Plan for Irrigated Agriculture and the National Watershed Revitalization Program, and trained 1,400 traditional farmers in gender equity.

Objective:

IICA's purpose in Brazil is to develop personal and institutional capacities to contribute to the construction of a dynamic, competitive, modern, inclusive, sustainable, and innovative agriculture.
