IICA Direct Technical Cooperation in Canada
The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in Canada carries out various activities aimed at improving agricultural practices and food security. These include: partnerships and agreements; knowledge exchange; research and innovation for food security and emerging livestock diseases in North America; bioeconomy; agro-industrial projects; and gender in agriculture.
Objective:
IICA's purpose in Canada is to be a modern and efficient institution, supported by a platform of human resources and processes capable of mobilizing the knowledge available in the hemisphere to achieve a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable agriculture that takes advantage of opportunities to contribute to economic growth and development, and promotes greater rural well-being and the sustainable management of its natural capital.
