The action of Bosques Vivos de Honduras will focus on the forestry sector, supporting Honduras in the implementation of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA-FLEGT), the bilateral trade agreement that obliges Honduras and the EU to address illegal logging and associated illegal trade in order to ensure that timber exported to the EU is produced legally. Secondly, the action will support activities that pave the way for the initiation of the forest alliance and foster this initiative's contribution to national socioeconomic development. It seeks to combat deforestation to improve the protection of the climate, water, soil, and biodiversity.
