NAMA in Bovine Livestock in El Salvador

NAMAs (Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions) are mitigation actions for certain previously identified sustainable development priorities, appropriate for each country's context, characteristics, and capabilities. This project seeks to develop a NAMA for Cattle Farming in El Salvador, based on the progress made in the Euroclima+ Country Dialogue and aligned with the NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions). To this end, resilience and efficiency capacities will be strengthened in response to the effects of climate change on cattle production, as well as in food value chains, in line with the sectoral commitments of the country's NDCs.

Main theme:

Increase resilience to the effects of climate change, the carbon and water efficiency of bovine livestock production systems, and food value chains, in accordance with El Salvador's sectoral commitments related to its NDCs, through the implementation of NAMAs.
