IICA Direct Technical Cooperation in Honduras

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in Honduras supported the process of formulating the Agrifood Sector Policy (PESAH 2022-2042). Through the Central American Program for Integrated Management of Coffee Rust (PROCAGICA) and the Knowledge Management Project for Adaptation of Family Farming to Climate Change (INNOVA-AF), it assisted producers seeking productive diversification, adaptation to climate change, among others. It sought the implementation of online training through SAG-Virtual, a learning platform for the Honduran agrifood sector, which had the registration of 13,500 participants. Finally, IICA has supported the implementation of the productive bond, coffee bond and solidarity bond programs, country investments that exceed 50 million per year for the benefit of more than 250,000 agricultural producer families.
