This readiness grant will mainstream climate change into Paraguay's protected areas regulatory framework and management, strengthen the capacities of actors in the National System of Protected Wild Areas (SINASIP), and disseminate knowledge to improve climate change mitigation and adaptation interventions in protected areas and buffer zones. This proposal will contribute to: - promote the conservation of protected areas - conduct research on the vulnerability of (native) species to climate change - promote sustainable management of native species - raise awareness about the importance of protected areas in the fight against climate change - generate information on climate change and protected areas
