IICA Technical Cooperation in Paraguay.
The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in Paraguay promoted the Seal of Peasant and Indigenous Family Farming (SAFCI), benefiting 11,259 producers with mechanized services to plant 3,415 hectares of sesame. It promoted the flower market through the Competitiveness Roundtable and facilitated the importation of seeds and access to credit. In climate change, it promoted dialogues on Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA) and updated systems for 10,904 producers. In addition, it developed agricultural health programs, manuals of good agricultural practices, genetic improvement projects and a computer system for non-traditional livestock chains.

The purpose of IICA in Paraguay is to be a technical cooperation institution recognized for its quality, agility, effectiveness and flexibility in the public and private sectors, allowing for greater mobilization of external resources to contribute to the competitive and sustainable development of Paraguay's agricultural sector.
